Reboot: Poolside talks & publishing forecasts

Speaking at a conference while standing by the pool?

That was a first for me last year at Reboot in Sheraton Dubrovnik.

Over 15 years ago, I was speaking in packed lecture halls with hundreds of attendees. Now? A few dozen folks, poolside, in the Adriatic sun. Might seem like a downgrade… but it's not.

Because among those “few dozen” were some of the most influential minds in game publishing – C-levels, investors, and decision-makers.

One funny story:

After my talk, a friendly attendee approached me saying it was his main session pick. We started chatting, and when I asked where he works, he said Thunderful.

I mentioned I work with some folks there and asked what his role is.

He humbly replied:

"I'm the CEO of the whole group."
